Campaigns
Conservative Way Forward is renowned for its innovative and hard-hitting campaigns on policy issues close to its heart.
Previous campaigns have included the highly successful "Flatten taxes, not the economy" at the Party Conference in 2006, where a steamroller flattened "tax men" for the media. In 2007, our "Stop the War against Drivers" campaign put the compelling case for a radical rethink of the law relating to motoring and our Poppy Campaign – asking how many British servicemen would not have died had they been properly equipped – left a lasting impression on delegates to the Party Conference.
In 2008, we called for lower corporation tax to boost growth in a policy paper co-authored by The TaxPayers' Alliance. And in 2010, following Labour's "scorched earth" policy which left unfunded commitments across government, we continued the defence theme with a clarion call to put Defence First in the spending review.
