Conor stood for the Conservatives in the Eastleigh constituency in 2001 and 2005, missing out to twice LibDem leadership contender Chris Huhne by 568 votes the second time.
He previously served on Southampton City Council, having won a safe, inner-city Labour ward, and spoke on Education and Urban Regeneration.
Conor is a graduate of Southampton University with a degree in Modern History and Politics. While at University, he was Chairman of the Southampton University Conservative Association and served on the National Committee of Conservative Students as Wessex Area Chairman.
Conor worked for DeHavilland for several years before going on to run the southern region of the Zurich Advice Network.
He is the Senior Honorary Vice President of Conservative Future and has written for ConservativeHome about constitutional issues.
