Robert Kilgour: Let’s not repeat the mistakes of 2014 – Business needs to be shouting from the rooftops!

Like many of you I was disappointed at how Scottish businesses engaged in the referendum on Scottish independence in 2014. Too shy, too timid and incredibly risk-averse were some of the accusations thrown at our businesses and for me, it’s hard to disagree.   Continue reading

James Hamblin: We send £350m a week to the EU. Let’s spend it on our Armed Forces instead.

With the Prime Minister’s triggering of Article 50, Britain is now irrevocably on its way out of the EU. As we expand the horizon of our vision beyond the shores of Europe and out into the wider world, we need to have an honest assessment of our strengths and weaknesses as a country. A study by the organisation European Geostrategy rated the UK as Europe’s only global power. The report highlighted that the UK has “a wide international footprint and [military] means to reach most geopolitical theatres”. While this is undoubtedly good news, there are also significant concerns surrounding the current state of the Armed Forces that the government must take seriously.   Continue reading

Charlie Elphicke MP: The grammar system works

Grammar schools can make a real difference. They can give children from less affluent areas a chance to thrive. I know their worth because I’ve seen it in action in my constituency. Continue reading

Matt Smith: Conservatives are working for a global Wales with a future as a great exporting nation

The Conservative Spring Forum and Annual Welsh Conference in Cardiff this weekend gives cause to reflect on how Conservative policies are supporting the successes of working people and enterprises across Wales. Continue reading

Keith Prince AM: Binding Pendulum Arbitration, or how the Government should save Sadiq Khan from himself

Sadiq Khan has a problem. Now I know what you’re thinking: you could easily list a dozen problems from which the current Mayor suffers. Even if I told you that I was thinking of a promise that he’s broken, you would struggle to narrow it down. So let me get to the point.  Sadiq Khan promised that should he become Mayor, Londoners would suffer “zero strikes” and he has failed so spectacularly that he is on track to have the worst strikes record of any Mayor of London. General Election 2017: CWF Campaign Day in Twickenham

IMG_0011.JPG

Hot on the heels of the Prime Minister's announcement this morning that there will be a General Election on the 8th June, please join CWF and Dr Tania Mathias MP, this Saturday 22nd April in Twickenham.

We will be meeting at 1pm at the Albany, 1 Queen's Road, Twickenham TW1 4EZ. After a sandwich lunch provided by CWF, we will head out campaigning, returning for FREE DRINKS in the evening.

Vince Cable was quick off the mark to announce he would be standing in Twickenham having lost the seat in 2015 to Conservative star Dr. Tania Mathias.

This general election is to ensure that the Prime Minister has a strong enough majority to ensure that Britain gets the best deal in Brexit negotiations. The Liberal Democrats famously fell apart at the last GE and Corbyn is busily destroying Labour from the top down. The Conservatives are the only party strong enough to fight for us and we cannot let Tania - one of our rising stars and who has achieved so much in such a short time, to be threatened by Cable.

Please join us this Saturday at 1pm at the Albany, 1 Queen's Road, Twickenham TW1 4EZ. Sandwich lunch and FREE DRINKS will be provided.

Any questions, please call Chrissie on 07716 066393.
